A year ago this week... [View all]

A year ago this week brought many unknowns to light. How long would I be working from home? How long would theme parks (and much of America) be closed? What food and supply shortages would we see? Would we need masks? What kind? Where would we get them? Etc.

We also were “led” by an administration that, vainly, fought hard to play down the spreading contagion, taking it as affront to them personally (even though it was affecting the entire world). 500,000 died in less than a year, even with the worst projections (given basic remediation methods in place nationwide) of maybe 200,000 dead

That led to even further unknowns and a massive amount of backlash from the willfully ignorant that worshiped the previous administration

Today, I’m still largely working from home but life is starting to get back to normal for many. While there are no widespread food shortages, there are still millions unemployed or underemployed and some restrictions are still in place.

But tens of millions are fully vaccinated and a third vaccine is available and there is light ahead, washing away the darkness and fear-mongering and hatred.

We shall prevail!
