34. Dh and I are feeling pretty socially deprived

We FaceTime with our kids and all that but it’s not the same.

I had a landscape architect stop by yesterday to pick something up and I left it on my porch. Both Dh and I were embracing the sunshine and working in different parts of the yard. Dh saw her car but didn’t see her. I didn’t see her at all.

Later we were sitting on the porch and I told him that we’d missed our chances at any social interaction for the day because we didn’t see her.

It does show us that we will get along just fine in retirement but the no contact thing is just painful.
