Take a peek at any conservative radio, web, or television show. Look at what happens when they have a guest who doesn't allow them to spew their stupid talking points. Invariably, the voice gets louder, the guest's mic gets lowered or cut off, or the host starts gish galloping, whatabouting, or any number of other tactics. That, to conservatives, is "winning" the argument.

We liberals tend to think that winning an argument is about showing that you have the best argument, but that is not how right wingers perceive the situation. Conservatives argue in bad faith and their tactics are performative, not substantive. They "own the libs" by shouting, taunting, and throwing out the tactics I mentioned above. Their audience is typically about the performance rather than the substance of the argument.
