Colonel Ed McCauley goes out to do an extra-vehicular repair, and is knocked into space. He repeats his name every 30 seconds so worldwide tracking stations can monitor him as he drifts further and further from the ship. I can vividly remember watching this episode on TV. It still holds up, and the series was quite accurate to the state of space exploration at the time.
