A huge block of the company shares are in the ESOP, meaning the workers are the biggest stockholder segment.
I loathe her as you do, but she has absolutely nothing to do with how the chain operates.
Doubtful she's ever actually worked a day in her life.
Publix issued a public statement repudiating her involvement & that her political views are contrary to those of the company, especially those of their employee owners.
The vax at their stores is not PR. They have nothing to apologize for. She's not their employee, nor is she anybody's boss. They're involved in vax because that's the responsible thing for a pharmacy chain to do.
Want to hate her? I got your back. But, don't conflate that silverspoon idiot with the chain that regularly rates among the best big companies to work for.
