Excuse me, but I live in Missouri, you know, the home of Akin and Ashcroft. You can't swing a dead cat anywhere in this state without hitting at least a half dozen conservative people. I've lived in the city that is home to the World Headquarters of Assembly of God churches, not to mention Jerry Falwell's alma mater. When it comes to living amongst and dealing with the right wing of all stripes, from the business moderates to the batshit crazy insane, I think my spectrum is plenty broad.

Am I claiming that all conservatives are good, decent people, no. But your contention that every single one is an irrational, racist lunatic is simply wrong, and the fact that you are making such broadbrush, stereotypical statements about all conservatives makes you no better than conservatives that do the same thing about liberals or other races.

Perhaps it is you who needs to broaden your horizons. Instead of judging every single conservative by those you read about or see on TV, get out here into the thick of things and see for yourself.

But then again, it always has been easier for many people to simply hate the "enemy" rather than get to know them.
