Legendary feminist and workers rights activist Dolores Huerta, who cofounded the United Farm Workers union with Cesar Chavez in the 1960s, recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to sound the alarm on a common herbicide used on millions of acres of cropland in the U.S. that could be endangering the health and lives of the very people who produce our foodfarmworkers and their families.
Which is the reason Susan was so flabbergasted why Huerta would not support the candidate that speaks out against Monsanto's influence and the health threat against farm workers and instead was backing the candidate that takes their money. (I'm not judging her, she had her reasons. May be as simple as she wanted to publically back the inevitable winner early, but in that moment, even I would want to know why)
