Rex came to Akron with a big circus tent and eight stock sermons regularly and stay four or five days and move on. On one visit the tent was destroyed in a storm. He found a church that needed a preacher and he has two months of sermons.

When he built the Cathedral of Tomorrow, it was designed to look like a big circus tent in shape.




He tried to build a tour with a revolving TV studio and restaurant, but the SEC stopped him. He got as far as shaft, 30+ years ago. It looked like Mineas Turith from Cuyahoga Valley Park, but it was referred to "Rex's big erection" or "the big dick in the sky".
