6. The President is an aged, but vibrant man who gives us old folks...

...an appreciation of the one strength we have over our impressive younger brothers and sisters and our children.

That thing is experience.

This is not true of all of us. The former guy is old, and probably more than a little senile but since the former guy is a mindless sybaritic bigoted parasite who has not done a useful thing in his regrettable long life, he brought nothing to the table in terms of experience or capability.

One more thing...

The President is doing, as all wise (and decent) men and women do as the lives approach their ends, which is sharing the benefit of their experience with younger folks.

Our President is doing exactly that using the Mondale model with our Vice President.

Despite our many obvious failings of late, I still have faith in Americans to so the right thing when doing the wrong thing comes home to roost.
