155. Because rewriting the laws of physics in complete secrecy is not feasible

There is no indication, from any academic source, that there are huge flaws in our understanding of physics at the macro level that could possibly be observed on Earth. For the films to show such things would mean that, in total secrecy, one unknown entity has both found the huge flaws in theory (of the order of comparing a horse-drawn chariot to a space rocket - something it previously took us 4 millennia of development to do, as an interconnected world), and then, without any interaction with the rest of the world, been able to build an entire new technology and used it for ... sending some drones zipping around the ocean. Not, you know, solving the world's energy problems (if benign), or making one country the complete master of the world (if malign).

It's not just the laws of physics that would need rewriting, it's the laws of human nature.
