(22,130 posts)besides our civilian and military aircraft also, IMHO, and continuing this discussion, one doesn't want to run into these craft and crash, possibly killing others.
Who knows what will be released by the Pentagon...personally, I'm not expecting much with the release of anything concrete, being that this topic has always been highly sensitive for some reason to those in government and the military. Why? What further gets me is that they continued to investigate this even after they claimed to shut down Project Blue Book and other investigative avenues. Again, Why?
Are there/Is there still significant sightings still occurring that can't be explained? I strongly suspect so. I suspect that while some of the sightings are indeed new aircraft being tested or flown for other reasons, by US and/or other national entities (which is why the US Govt is so secretive, a good reason), there are some sightings not so easily explained that so many have seen. Reputable sightings by highly qualified persons who have spotted the craft, radar and thermal imagery have also caught such craft in their sights. Many witnesses have eyeballed the craft up close and personal.
The technologies displayed by such craft leaves our craft basically crawling in the mud. Makes sense, after all, the human race just entered into the flying arena starting in 1903 w/ the Wright Brothers, so we're babes in the woods basically with this type of technology, babes in the woods w/ computer technologies, babes in the woods with a lot of new technologies being engineered w/ the advent of new and far more computing power.
And if there are entities / non-worldly or otherwise (our Oceans are 70% of the earth's surface, and we've barely explored the depths thus far), then as a civilization engaging in space more and more, we must be prepared, be at least more knowledgeable in any hope of dealing w/ such things. Be prepared is a motto that the Boy Scouts and many advocate. It doesn't hurt to know more about the environment in which we fly in, swim in, or circle the earth in. Just smart.
And more than likely, some sort of non-interference methodology is involved, I would hope if anything. Don't interfere w/ existing cultures, otherwise a repeat of the cultures destroyed will occur when Columbus and others found North and South America, and the American Indians and the Incas were pretty well wiped out, not just by brutal conquest but by disease too. Advanced technologies in the wrong hands would do the same thing, potentially wiping out or harming others.
I suspect that there is some sort of policy embraced by the powers that be to simply ridicule those that report the sightings, despite the negative stigma.
The powers that be say that people would freak out knowing such things, I hope not, I'd like to think that the Human Race is, after being in space for a little time (since the 1960s) is ready, but I don't know...knowing how some of these djt people act and behave in times like today, how they feel and act so negatively about 'science' and other similar topics, I suspect not.
