In a standup fight, that'd definitely be the case. But it's not going to be a standup fight. It'll be guerilla warfare and/or low-intensity direct conflict. Bear in mind that guys hiding in caves with old Soviet AKs were able to stymie the US military in Afghanistan. A dedicated insurgency is nothing to sneer at, as both Iraq and Afghanistan proved. If the nutters go all in, it'll be bloody for both sides.
