5. You're correct. But vaccines are as much to prevent mortality as to prevent infection.

In my area 97% of the hospitalized are unvaccinated. And we are over 50% vaccinated. Which means not being vaccinated is twice as dangerous to them this summer that last.

I don’t think we will ever know the number of vaccinated people who get it because most cases are asymptotic.

I have a good friend in a household of 5. He is the only one vaccinated. His wife and 3 kids all very recently got it. His wife is still real sick after a week.

The one vaccinated person? No symptoms.
