If the issue is that the media and/or fans let him off the hook too easily for his bad sportsmanship of throwing racquets, then that ought to be the focus of the discussion, not putting words or implications in his mouth. I think that is is definitely a fair question, especially given racism in tennis. If it makes anyone feel any better, he is NOT nearly as widely liked and admired as Federer and Nadal.
