I would pay TENS OF BILLIONS of dollars for that right. We have it right now and do not want to lose it.
The US should nationalize communication equipment this because it runs everything. The power grid, the transaction at the gas pump, the ability for you to see this text is all done by this equipment. It is our soft under belly. Giving China the key only makes it worse.
Huawei is China and every other western communication company shares with the 5 eyes. The first eyes are the USAs.
What exact issue with 4G LTE that you think is going to get us dumped badly and inflict this massive damage?

If you are currently using a V.32bis modem, yes a huge upgrade but it isn't 1990 anymore.
