Someone's got a habit of running a unknown to divide off usual Dem voters, so this is actually not surprrising at all.
Along with delaying the BBB just long enough to prevent McAuliffe from having that in his campaign arsonal.

They ain't working for the Democratic Party. They're working to kneecap it.
