(197 posts)31. Pretty much the same here, at least for our cat,
but I am able to get a private exam room at the avian vet for our African Grey parrot, who is around 45 years old. In fact I am taking her there tomorrow for an exam and you cannot imagine how relieved I am for this exception. She had a life or death event a number of years ago while having an exam and ever since then she's been on a special list... long story short I get to stay with her during the exam. It still stresses me out to the max, I'll be on pins and needles until it's over.

I stopped by my vet today to get a med refill for my dog - and masks are required just to enter

All our local vets are requiring pet owners to call when they arrive at office,
