But how so?
Was he wearing a sign, "I'm a pedophile, shoot me"?
Or maybe he just looked like a pedophile, and Rittenhouse was afraid he'd get raped.

Reality is that Rittenhouse had never seen his victims before, and knew nothing of their past.
He just shot them. It was so easy for him. Show up at a tense, violent situation with a gun and the rest was so predictable.
