10. On the 50th anniversary of the shooting
Mon Nov 22, 2021, 09:43 AM
Nov 2021

We were here at my house, it was near Thanksgiving. My late brother-in-law sat in my living room and had the nerve to say out loud that JFK’s death didn’t bother him in the least because “I never liked the guy.” I was so shocked I didn’t know what to say. My sister sat there and said nothing. I finally worked up the sense to say, “C’mon Dave, if nothing else, he was our President and didn’t deserve to get murdered in the street in cold blood.” But Dave stuck to his guns that it was not that big a deal to him. Just mind boggling. Well I hope he liked LBJ who took Kennedy’s place. (I’m sure he did not)
