27. There was actually a display of a crucified Santa down at our county courthouse several years ago

in the battle over the nativity scene. Protesters argued displays from all religions should be allowed, so we’ve had several Fetivus poles, Flying Spaghetti Monsters, and some freaky skeleton stuff, among other displays.

The crucified Santa was the final straw and now there are no holiday displays on the courthouse lawn. The battle lasted a few years and it was fun to watch.
