What if that would have been a little girl, or what if that dog had turned on that teen?

Seeing any dog running around like that bothers me because I've been attacked several times in my life, and do not trust larger dogs, let alone pit bulls. I've known some genuinely good dogs, gentle souls, and most are fine. It is the owners who let them run, don't take care of them properly, do not train them adequately, do not socialize them, that are at fault.

As to this particular dog, when a dog is aggressive like that, it needs to be reported to Animal Control, taken and put down. The owners need to face serious fines and possibly jail time. I know there's a whole cheering section out there about how wonderful pit bulls actually are, but the owners of this particular dog are selfish prats.

Moral of this story: If you are gonna get a dog, make sure you have the TIME and the PATIENCE to socialize and train the dog so it does not present a danger.
