107. People are over-reacting to this.

There’s a teacher and substitute shortage. The schools, rather than send the kids home, managed to find responsible adults to essentially baby sit them.

When i was in school, my peers and i learned a lot from cops that were just killing time and hanging out in the community. Why jail sucks, what is it like in the back of a cop car, how many tickets do they write, what’s it like to walk around with all that shit on, what do they talk about on the radio? What do they do while on patrol. Do they like their job? What do they not like about their job?

I would bet money that every single cop in those pictures has never shot anyone, shot at anyone, or even seen a gun used in anger. I would also bet that most / all of those kids had a super memorable day, and probably learned a lot.

This kind of Exposure to cops and law enforcement and kids has many positive effects for everyone involved. People are acting like the cops are going to see a purple pencil and start blasting.
