(8,590 posts)57. You are spot on imho
Another aspect that concerns me is that having such a long lag between when this happened (over a year now) and no consequences for those at the top (and shamefully light ones for those who have already been processed), gives the impression that whatever it was wasn't really very serious, because, you know, if it were, then something would have already been done.
So, *if* DOJ actually ends up doing something, it will be perceived as being political or whatever, because if it really had been critical, something would have been done immediately. I honestly anticipate that kind of thinking from a whole lot of people.

Correct. Rule of law is lining up and prepping to move the ball downfield in one massive rush

Comparing this investigation to the Mueller investigation is ridiculous.

I think so. Also, rather than a slam bam, IMO, it's more effective having it revealed slowly

But nothing has been revealed...where is the "slowly", we have zero signs the DOJ is doing anything

Maybe DOJ should announce they will fully complete their work after the committee

That is the committee, not the DOJ. We know what the Jn6C are doing, we see nothing from the DOJ

We see a lot at DoJ, just not the top of the conspiracy. Largest criminal investigation in history.

Correct...There is plenty of evidence, plenty of witnesses to indict and prosecute.

I think the eventual Committee public hearings will be the catalyst for roping in the principals

One would hope that with the DOJ capabilities, being able to use the FBI, that they would have

I think the public hearings are the key. He'll move once it's all laid out for the public to see.
