Some highlights:

* Misclassification alone costs the state of California $7 billion in lost revenue.
* $9.27 billion was stolen from workers who earned less than $13 an hour in 2019 alone.
* Authors estimate that workers throughout the country lose $15 billion annually from minimum wage violations alone.
