.....Los Angeles attack sub is 24-25 weapons internally (tube launched) and 12 tomahawks in the vertical launch tubes....but each of these weapons, be it a mk48 torpedo, or a tomahawk or harpoon cruise missile, could sink any dreadnought of that period alone....there would be an accuracy rate of nearly 100%....they have no weapons to counter the subs weapons, not even speed.....the sonar of the period would only give away the WWI era ships exact position....even Vietnam era weapons...hell, I'll go as far as gulf war technology, is no match for today's....

When I got out of the navy in '97, I was abord the newest submarine commissioned, the USS Tucson....state of the art, but the new Virginia class now make the 688I class look almost obsolete. I'm the orange guy far right!
