a defense attorney tries to confuse the jury (in this case the judge) with nonsensical misdirection...her case is bullshit, has no merit, she's lost the judge so, hey, how about throw Hillary into mix, citing the bogus spy crap, and see if the judge bites...the judge didn't bite..
