(Which was the law there at that time)
Gore would of won. There were 175,000 overvotes the machines wouldn’t count, 2/3 of them were for gore. Gore’s name was punched and then also chosen as a write in vote, so obviously these voters picked gore. Lance de haven smith brought it up first but newspapers confirmed gore’s win after the fact.

We need to stop letting them steal elections because we are too polite.

Every federal election needs hand counted paper ballots, counted openly, transparently and with a tight chain of custody.

( even if scanners are used the software should be open sourced, not proprietary, and make double checking it easy)
