I've seen a couple of posts hypothesizing that Putin might be taking steroids, and he certainly has the puffy face that one often sees in a steroid user; but no one, to my knowledge, has taken this further: steroid use causes aggressive, sometimes irrational behavior.

This is a commonly known side effect of steroids like prednisone. And I've certainly seen this effect in people I've known, when kind, gentle, even-tempered people became, to a person, "rage machines" while taking steroids. These people were so caught up in their anger that the consequences of it just didn't matter.

It's interesting food for thought.
