(1,546 posts)They're being very selective and smart toward applying their capabilities. This isn't a Kuwait situation with a defeated spooked army running for their lives in the open, and a conveyer belt of allied attack planes above conducting a turkey shoot. Different circumstances here. My hunch is the newly supercharged Ukrainian Air Force will be in action soon. They'll have a fleet of Mig-29's and Su-25's (attack plane) in sufficient quantities to conduct offensive strikes. The Ukrainian's have effective air defense capability, and it can be focused to support strike activity.
Watching for Poland and other border countries to possibly extend some kind of protective shield over a portion of western Ukrainian, backed-up with air defense assets pushed up to those borders. Something.
