If we live long enough, we have to bury our parents. And our parents always hope we live long enough to do that. My parents were both 96 years old, and had been married for 75 years. Sadly, both were in failing health by the time they died. My father's greatest fear was that he would outlive my mother, so he could keep caring for her. She died about an hour before he did. He didn't know that, but he would have been glad.
