7. Republicans demonizing everything Dems say and do isn't a fault.

It's a feature.

It's the Republican mind set.

"We are the Good Guys, you Dems are the Bad Guys."

Republicans: "We do evil but see no evil."
Republicans: "Dems do no evil but we see evil."

Republicans (the religious types): "We are the Chosen Ones, you Dems are Satan Spawn!"

Republicans: "We don't actually want to win anything, but we need to make sure you Dems lose!"

Dems: "Seriously? What is wrong with you lot?"


Personal note: Australia has two major political parties, pretty much indistinguishable based on their ideology.
But my wife believes strongly OUR side are the good guys, theirs are the bad guys.
Me?: I just think 99% of politicians are self-serving egomaniacs who don't give a stuff about common folk.
