they used to be the only streaming service but there are many choices now. And many of the content creators have pulled their stuff back from Netflix onto their own services. So Netflix is great for people who like original content created by Netflix.

They added 500,000 subscribers but "lost" 700,000 when they canceled Russian accounts

I believe the increase in price they implemented was partly cause for a decrease in customers ...
