I am not a fan of dark themes with gratuitous violence and psycho nut jobs, or "action" films with countless explosions and chase scenes that go on endlessly. It seemed I had to "work" too hard to find the kind of films I enjoy which have been easier to find and select on Prime. I had been thinking of cancelling Netflix for years, but never did. Then they increased their rates.
Since I mostly watch films on Prime which is free to me, including Hoopla and Kanopy, I decided to cut the cord with Netflix after being a customer for nearly 20 years.
nothing to do with all the "anti-hitler" stuff.

They added 500,000 subscribers but "lost" 700,000 when they canceled Russian accounts

I believe the increase in price they implemented was partly cause for a decrease in customers ...
