(17,651 posts)He had on a guest, not sure how he was involved with Katrina and FEMA but he also provided some very good advice along with Rev.
Rev. Al and he agreed that the elderly, disabled and poor; may not have had the ability to get out; and those, because it's the end of the month, were not able to buy emergency supplies or food are at highest risk of dying.
He said that it is up to the community, neighbors and friends to check on these people, share food, water, supplies and there aren't enough first responders available in the world to help each and every person that needs assistance.
He said as soon as it's safe, for neighbors to start checking on neighbors, share and to look out for one another.
He also said he hoped that one of the first priorities would be to open restaurants and stores so people can eat.
