54. I feel it too

I spent a fair bit brooding today about how my life would have been different if I'd gotten pregnant and had no option but to carry the pregnancy to term. I started thinking of when I was raped by brother when I was a kid. If I had gotten pregnant, I would have had to carry it to term...my brother rapist's child.

Frankly, I started thinking of the scare I had with a very nice fellow when I first got to college and was on birth control. It would have derailed our lives. He *cough* would have to support me, and I'd have to bear and probably raise it. I have absolutely no interest in being a mother.

Then I think of every man I've ever had sex with... what if I had gotten pregnant??? I'd have to have a child.

With contraception on the block (the pill!!), I figure I'd have had no choice but be celibate in my teens, 20s, and 30s... damn my 40s. If a guy lied to me and said he had had a vasectomy (maybe they'll outlaw that too) and got me pregnant... oh well... slut....
