(21,381 posts)59. I totally understand and commiserate. When I went to DC in 2001 afrter we invaded Iraq and 3-400,000
marched in DC to protest the attack on a country that had no part in 9-11. They were all Saudis FCS. Only to have only C-Span and a 10-second spot on CNN, I thought to self: "Self, this is not America anymore." W, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell and Rice, the unitary executive, deficits don't matter, "Nation building", aluminum tubes, mushroom clouds, yellow cake uranium, WMD (that we gave Iraq when they were fighting Iran). Makes me think we have been fucked for a looooong time.
