Okay, that sounds about right to me.

I'm glad I live in a place where I'd get some support from the police.

On the other hand I'm never quick to call the police for anything because they tend to be a little reckless with their own guns. I've seen them shoot people I wouldn't have shot. Not criminal, just reckless.

My great grandmas were hard ass property owning women of the Wild West. They had zero tolerance for fools with guns. One or two of them were the sort who could call upon the sheriff-coroner to clean up the mess and fill out the proper paperwork when bad men crossed them.

I don't want to live in that world either.
