38. I encounter this sort of reading experience

On Many sites because I’m not will to pay for subscriptions. These are sites where the news is accurate too. I’m not talking weird ones with Right-Wing crap.

The more disjointed the internet becomes, the more difficult it is to get good quality information given in an attention-holding manner.

Same as the advertising on TV. They purposely make advertising as intrusive as possible. We lose our train of thought, and it just contributes to attention deficit scatter-brain issues. I have been watching Bosch:Legacy which is on Freeve. It is ad based but done in a really cool manner. You are notified when an ad begins. It tells you how long it will be and how many there will be. So, I simply mute the TV so I don’t hear the crap. Then unmute when the ad(s) are finished. It’s the next best thing to ad-free as you are going to get.

Not sure if they still do, but years ago in the UK, they used to save the ads and show them all at once at the end of the shows. IIRC. Probably not like that anymore tho.

As I said, there are so many ways that we humans in the US are exposed to chaotic, thought-scrambling, mind-numbing input.
