There is a lot of science to support that as the age at which the brain has fully developed. If a youngster wants to handle such a weapon, let him/her join a service where it is legal. If they don't believe in the service, which many don't, then they have to wait.

This should be a separate issue from "of age" rights, such as voting and such, because of the horrific outcomes possible.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't cops even restricted from having such automatic weapons at their disposal?

The NRA took a Russian rep around to observe our voting mechanisms at poll places; the NRA is adverse to the public welfare, and I am sick of them and their whiny-assed "but, but, but my GUN!" Well, "but, but, but MY CHILD." Children always come first, they have to, and we should be able to do something about these killings despite the 2A.

The 2A is now obstructing our ability to educate our children. We are going to have a serious brain drain because parents are afraid to send their kids to a public school. Why should the 2A be allowed to unravel our school systems? Yet, I don't blame any parent for refusing to send their kid to school. It looks bad, like something is wrong in the home, but all they would have to say is, "I was afraid to expose my child to potential harm." And, I would agree with them.
