And considering the group that wants to "dismantle" the Royal Family is called "Republic" I think we know the replacement would simply be an Oligarchy instead of a Monarchy and the family at least does attempt to mitigate some of the worst ideas.

I see them as a bit of a BLOCK against worst scenarios while allowing the Democratic process to function the best it can.

I DO HAVE MORE HOPE of the younger generations, skipping the ugly duckling and his mistress.

Maybe before she dies she will issue that formal apology for the involvement in slavery by the Monarchy. Not sure if there will be any money attached, but she seems to be softening at times.
