(37,748 posts)Quite few marriages work through the problem to find a solution.
But, being as that's both difficult work and viscerally unsatisfying, I can understand why many would simply surrender and give up, find a new nation, and then deal with the same problems all over again-- most likely ion the same way, thus continuing a pattern of defeat.
To be honest, I wish it were only Republican-- or even political hacks who feel that "Those fucking people are not going to go away... ever" whom we can apply the "he unscientific, militaristic, fact-challenged, low information" sobriquet to; however my own experience illustrates to me that that type of person may be found in every strata of both culture and society, in every nation, and throughout history.
Building more walls is emotionally convenient, but counter-productive to the collective good of a people.
