Everybody knew he'd lost fair and square. He's a malignant narcissist who will do anything--and I mean ANYTHING--to stay on top. They were a bunch of fools who bought into the messianic idea pushed by right wing preachers. Yeah, messianic, for that. They didn't care that he lost, Jesus wanted him so they were willing to do what they did. If they had been just a little better organized, I am convinced more people would have lost their lives that day.

As it was, once the hooting morons got in, they had no clue what to do and they seemed to get in the way of the few who did. So they pwned the libbies and took some souvenirs that got them into deep trouble later, and left.

I think most Republicans in Congress knew those hooting morons wouldn't know who was who and even some of the right wingers like McCarthy were initially frightened and angry at TFG. It passed so quickly that now I hope he takes them down with him. It did allow Congress to complete the peaceful transition of power that night, although two weeks later they were kissing TFG's, er, ring.

I'm not letting anyone off on the delusional excuse. They all knew TFG just plain LOST. They betrayed everything this country has ever been by their actions that day and they all knew what they were doing.
