There are likely far less haters today than there were 20-30 years ago. I think RuPaul and Drag Queen Story Time and many other things have done a lot to normalize drag queens and erase the ignorance from a lot of people.

It's just the same ol' haters, who are just louder and meaner and crazier than they used to be. "We don't have to be afraid anymore!" and all that nonsense.
