Hey, I covered Hollywood for years. I saw a lot. It was always fun covering the American Film Institute’s yearly event that always brought out “old Hollywood” and big names from yesteryear. Some folks in the press area spent the evening spotting the facelifts, chin jobs, neck jobs, eye lifts, boob jobs, hair pieces and plugs and toupees, and more. It was a fun way to spend an evening, but a bit gruesome as well, cuz one was always looking for a soundbite or two from a Hollywood elder that you could bank - for later use in their obits.
