he's a talk radio construct, like most of today's republicans - if they didn't have the blessing of limbaugh and sons they had less and less chance in the party until all independent thought was gone - that's why we have had increasing record partisanship since the early 90s when limbaugh and sons got going, enforcing the fascism for the NRA, heritage fdtn, ALEC, etc - and later putin.

most other media are part of the free speech spectrum. the main networks are effected/intimidated/enabled by the buzz from 1500 coordinated radio stations and because dems ignore it and they can't read it they accept the RW media talking its that that buzz is legit public opinion instead of flying out the ass of a few hundred assholes on 1500 coordinated radio stations

rojos best friends are on the radio and dems can knock the crap out of WIS republicans like him by getting uni of Wisconsin to stop broadcasting sports on at least 3 RW radio stations

guys like desantis, scott, rubio wouldn't have chance if floridians got 5 unis there off 20 x-limbaugh stations - those limbaugh stations were/are usually the loudest radio stations around

getting a few other schools off RW radio like Mich State 11, Michigan 7, Penn St 11, Carolina 8, U of Ga 7, would have huge implications in those states - total devastation for republicans
