(6,115 posts)... but wanted to play their cards close and judge the public reception before going there. Now that they've got the public hungry for more, they know there's an appetite. In addition, public perception is going in the direction they want: a majority of people want heads to roll.
The longer this is drawn out over the summer, the closer to the midterms it will be. Some of those motherfuckers will be voted out.
I do worry that if it's close to the election, the DOJ will not want to issue indictments for the corrupt congressassholes who should be indicted until after the election. My question: do you guys think that would be a good thing or a bad thing? I mean, if the public wants these assholes charged but the DOJ holds off until after the election, they'll vote them out, so it might be a good thing. If the DOJ does indict close to the midterms, people might vote for them to belligerently fuck the DOJ. It could go either way.
