the SC was an important enough issue to vote for Hillary in those critical swing states in the general election in 2016.

We are paying the price for that foolishness now

The only option we have to undo this damage is to come out in huge numbers in 2016 so we have a substantial majority

Unless that happens, realistically there is no way forward on this
