26. A federal law protecting reproductive rights always was/is going to be difficult

For 1 thing I don't believe we've ever had a filibuster proof majority. The other is that I'm not sure southern democrats (when we still had them in congress) would have supported it. At one point country club Republicans would have but post St. Ronnie, anti-choice became the playbook.
