But maybe because of her age they want to monitor her closely. And the dosage is by body weight so I assume the doctor wants to see her.

Mifepristone is also used for treatment of hyperglycemia in patients with Cushing's syndrome, including children, and at a higher dosage than is needed for an abortion so I'm guessing it may be a viable solution rather than a D & C, which can be pretty traumatic.
