I do like her and I like all of her policies. But in interviews she comes across as if she's high. I've seen her give glib, over simplistic answers to questions about Russia and Ukraine in some interviews. She's an easy target for Republicans.
We have an embarrassment of riches for potential candidates for '28 and beyond (or for '24 if Joe decides not to run): Stacey Abrams, Katie Porter, Corey Booker, Beto O'rourke, Pete Buttigieg. I'd even go with Sherrod Brown if he had a bit more charisma. All of these could start elevating their public images starting now and be contenders by '24, and certainly by '28.
Newsome would be good, to. But he's kind of a dick personally and he'd get beaten over the head by Republicans over his more progressive record.
